Rescue Story

Sunshine is a three-year-old golden retriever who found herself in a high kill Taiwanese shelter after her owner passed away.  Sunshine is very dog social, doesn't mind the outdoor cats and loves all people, children included.  Although she doesn't have any formal training Sunshine stays close by her handler and is trusted off-leash in secluded places by her foster home.

Sunshine LOVES toys, especially stuffies which she will tote around in her mouth all day.  In Taiwan she showed minor guarding tendencies with her toys, but hasn't exhibited them in her Canadian foster home. That said, toy play is strictly supervised here!  She loves to play fetch, though doesn't always bring the ball back. She seems to like the water as well.  Sunshine is housetrained and doesn't mind hanging out in her crate for a few hours, though would prefer to hang on the couch instead.  She's a quiet, well-behaved lady.

Sunshine is spayed, up to date with routine shots, micro-chipped, de-wormed (Sept/Oct 2012, Jan-07~11-2013) and tested negative for heartworm.

If you are interested in adopting Sunshine please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Sunshine, for your new addition. There is a $500 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
