Rescue Story

Royce was a stray puppy living in a remote mountain area in Taiwan.  His littermates and him were captured to a killing pound and a kind man couldn’t bear to see them die in there so he bailed them out.  The man however couldn’t keep the puppies at home since he already has many rescued dogs staying in his crowded apartment.  The man boarded the puppies at a vet’s paying out of his own pocket.  The man’s efforts to get those puppies exposure on Facebook didn’t transpire to adoptions.  Besides a toll on his finance, the man was pressured to move the puppies because of limited space at the vet’s.  The man was heartbroken but his only option was to release the dogs back onto the streets after neuter/spay.  Joyce’s current foster family heard this story from that vet and jumped in to save the six puppies from being homeless once again.  Royce loves being with people especially the foster family’s six-year-old son and is great with dogs of all sizes/cats.  He’s well-behaved and submissive, a great canine companion for someone who has a moderately active lifestyle.

If you are interested in adopting Royce please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Royce is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Royce, for your new addition. There is a $450 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
