Rescue Story

Niu Niu is food motivated and loves to play with soft squeaky toys and ball fetching. She was found on busy streets and taken to the animal hospital where she’s currently fostering in. After posting on social media about her being lost, her previous owner showed up and said the dog was no longer wanted. The previous owner let her roamed free without any supervision or care. When Niu Niu first arrived at the clinic, she was afraid of being held and would shriek, stiffen her body, and close her eyes like trying avoid to being hit. Now she’s much more relaxed and loves to go out for walks and sniff many places. She doesn’t interact with other dogs and dislike those wouldn’t leave her alone. Niu Niu is looking for a patient small dog experienced family to help her with housetraining and better leash manners.

Please note Niu Niu is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand. Please consider Niu Niu, for your new addition. There is a $300 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
