Rescue Story

Hong Cha along with her five siblings were found on a mountain by a passerby. The litter’s mother already froze to death and the passerby, a factory worker, decided to take them along. The factory worker placed the puppies outside an unsanitary abandoned house and fed them human food waste which were not digestible by puppies. Our rescuer was concerned about the puppies’ safety and well-being so she’s boarding them in an animal clinic. Each puppy has been thoroughly examined and is healthy for adoption. The puppies would mouth playfully with people’s hands and will need work in housetraining and basic obedience. They are highly active and would require daily exercise as well as continuous socialization with dogs/cats/kids in order to grow up as a confident dog.

If you are interested in adopting Hong Cha (Rooibos Tea) please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Hong Cha (Rooibos Tea) is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand. Please consider Hong Cha (Rooibos Tea), for your new addition. There is a $450 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
