Rescue Story

Francis already has had two homes in his short life. He was bought as a cute puppy by someone with lots of money who just wanted a cool status symbol and then given to a student who is away too much and didn't really want the dog to begin with. So Francis finds himself in need of a forever family. This time, CERA Dog Society has taken him in to make sure his third home is his final home!

He is used to being home by himself crated for 5-6 hours a day. He is untested with cats, so a no-cat home would probably suit him best, and is a rambunctious youngster, so kids in the home should be 10 years and old or he might knock them down like bowling pins.

Typical of Bulldogs, Francis needs to have the cherry eye surgery done by rescue and is just finishing his recovery. Bulldogs are a very expensive dog breed to own and they have high healthcare costs. It is imperative that his adoptive home realize he will be an expensive dog to own and that there will inevitably be frequent vet visits. His adoptive parents should highly consider having pet insurance.

If you are interested in adopting Francis please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Francis, for your new addition. There is a $600 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
