Rescue Story

A strong typhoon hit Taiwan in July this year. A pregnant stray wandered to our rescuer's shelter and gave birth to a litter of seven at the front gate outside in the bushes. When our rescuer found them, three puppies already died of hypothermia even though the mother tried her best to protect them from the violent wind and rain. Our rescuer took in the mother and her four puppies.

Dan is being fostered in shelter with a hundred plus dogs so he has a lot to learn about living in a home environment. He needs a patient family who can help him with housetraining and provide adequate exercise. He also likes to chew which can easily managed with chew toys and bones or crated when no one is home. He’s still a puppy so we’re looking for someone who is aware of the amount of work that goes into raising a puppy and willing to put in time for training and basic obedience. He doesn’t like fireworks and can be spooked. Dan is the outgoing and confident one among his siblings and adapts more quickly.

If you are interested in adopting Dan please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Dan is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand. Please consider Dan, for your new addition. There is a $450 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
