Rescue Story

Cassie was a stray on the streets in Taiwan and captured to the killing pound.  The pound found out that she has a microchip and it’s registered to her previous owner.  When the owner was informed of Cassie’s whereabouts, the person didn’t want the dog back and left her in the killing pound to die.  Cassie loves to be in the company of people more than dogs.  She’s not protective of food towards human but would growl at other dogs so separate feeding and careful handling of giving treats are advised.  When she sees other dogs on her walks she would want to run over to socialize, a simple verbal command of no and tap on her side would stop her from doing so.  Cassie is very sweet with people.  She is looking for a loving family that can provide her a moderate amount of exercise for weight management and basic obedience to correct behaviours such as jumping up on people when excited.

Cassie is spayed (November-23-2013), up to date with routine shots, micro-chipped, de-wormed (March-15-2013), and tested negative for heartworm, takes heartworm preventative every 10th of the month and flea/tick treatment.

If you are interested in adopting Cassie please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Cassie is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Cassie, for your new addition. There is a $400 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
