Rescue Story

We think when Bing Bing was a puppy she probably had a home for a while because she’s so affectionate with people and able to understand what we say to her.  As a stray in Taiwan, Bing Bing was hanging out in an area where a few men got together and drank.  When they got drunk, they threw glass alcohol bottles at Bing Bing and other strays nearby.  Bing Bing has a few scars on her leg and the side of her body, which the hair will not grow back.

 

Bing Bing is still young and has lots of energy.  She loves to wrestle with her doggy friends and is treat/food motivated.  She is currently working on housetraining and walking on leash.  She loves to sleep by her foster mom on the bed.  As soon as the foster mom lays out the blanket she would jump up and choose the best spot to make herself comfortable.

 

Despite the mistreatment by humans, she is still so friendly to everyone including strangers.  Bing Bing loves to greet houseguests and wants to be patted.

Bing Bing has up to date vaccinations including Rabies shot, de-wormed, micro-chipped, spayed (December-05-2013), tested negative for heartworm, screw worm but positive for Ehrlichia Canis and Anaplasma Platys.

After treatment, Bing Bing’s final PCR retest has shown negative to both pathogens.  Bing Bing has also passed Idexx 4-in-1 Kit Plus Test.

If you are interested in adopting Bing Bing please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Bing Bing is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Bing Bing, for your new addition. There is a $400 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
