Rescue Story

Alyssa was spotted as a lone puppy under pouring rain amidst busy traffic in Taiwan.  She didn’t try to get out of harm’s way and ran up to pedestrians as if looking for someone possibly the person who abandoned her there.  As soon as she got close people shooed her away and she got frightened and ran back into traffic mindlessly.  Our rescuer was heartbroken seeing the dog in distress so she took Alyssa in hoping to find her a permanent haven.  Alyssa is friendly with everyone and likes being petted.  She’s playful with dogs as well.  She doesn’t have food aggression with people and dogs.  She is teething so providing her with chew toys and bones is a must and prevent her from developing bad habits.  She has a medium energy level and walks well on leash.  Alyssa knows the sit, shake a paw, and wait command.

If you are interested in adopting Alyssa please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Alyssa is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Alyssa, for your new addition. There is a $450 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
