Shy in the beginning but warms up quickly, very affectionate once he feels secured being around you, cuddly, smart, gets along well with all dogs and cats, loves food and treats, susceptible to training at this age

Rescue Story

Martini along with his 8 siblings was captured on the streets by the animal control agency in Taiwan.  The rescuer could not bear to see these newborns suffer and die at the kill shelter so she took in the whole litter.   3 of them were too weak to survive and the remaining 6 were in critical condition.  With the vet’s best efforts, the 6 puppies recovered fully and some have been adopted.  Martini is looking for his own forever loving home.  Even though he appears to be shy when meeting new people, he is friendly and playful once he gets to know and trust you.   Martini takes a little while to sink in.

If you are interested in adopting Martini please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Martini is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Martini, for your new addition. There is a $500 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
