Cautious with strangers but will warm up right away if one is friendly, affectionate, likes to be petted, lively, gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids

Rescue Story

Ninah was a stray in a community neighbourhood in Taiwan.  A girl in a nearby elementary school would save her breakfast allowance to buy food for Ninah.  So Ninah is friendly towards children and would follow them around.  Because of Ninah’s amiable personality, our rescuer took her in and she has been fostering in a dog shelter with hundreds of dogs.  Ninah is protective of food around other dogs.  She doesn’t like treats to be taken away by humans either probably because she was so used to fending for herself with scarce food.  Ninah hasn’t had an opportunity to live in a family environment before so she has to learn manners around the house through basic obedience training.  We don’t really know what breeds she is but she’s a sweet fluffy furry companion for sure.

Ninah is spayed (Oct-02-2012), up to date with routine shots, micro-chipped, de-wormed (Sept-01-2013), and tested negative for heartworm.

If you are interested in adopting Ninah please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Ninah is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Ninah, for your new addition. There is a $350 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
