Rescue Story

Sam was a stray foraging in Northern Taiwan’s countryside.  He was found on a downpour day.  Besides being drenched and emaciated, he had leeches all over afflicting him.  Our rescuer took Sam to the vet to receive medical treatment in the hopes that one day he would be adopted to a home.  Sam loves to play with other dogs of all sizes and has a very gentle temperament.  If other dogs are aggressive towards him, he moves away and avoids confrontation despite his large size he could easily retaliate.  He loves to go out and explore but needs to work on his recall before being trusted.  Sam would benefit from basic obedience training to help him become an even better well-behaved furry companion.

If you are interested in adopting Sam please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Sam is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Sam, for your new addition. There is a $400 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
