Rescue Story

Sandy was found tied to a very short leash on a traffic island. She wagged her tail so hard at everyone passing by as if begging for help. A Good Samaritan untied Sandy and tried walking her but noticed her limping so then they went to the animal clinic. It took Sandy about two months to make a full recovery. Sandy has passed all the blood tests and being given a clean bill of health. With an outgoing personality and lots of energy, she can do all sorts of outdoor activities but running intensely beside a bike is not suitable to her condition. She is leash trained and gets excited when she sees her leash and harness. She loves to be around people and to give them kisses. Even after what she has been through she looks like she’s smiling in every picture. With such a sweet face, she will brighten your day for sure.

Sandy is spayed, has up to date vaccinations including rabies shot, micro-chipped, de-wormed, tested negative for heartworm, screwworm and multiple tick born pathogens. Sandy has also passed Idexx 4-in-1 kit Test.

If you are interested in adopting Sandy please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Sandy is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand. Please consider Sandy, for your new addition. There is a $500 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
