Rescue Story

Miki was abandoned by her owner on a busy main road.  Miki was so scared and tried to hop on any scooter stopping at the traffic light - obviously she is used to being on a scooter. 

A couple brought Miki to the vet to check if she has a microchip implanted because Miki wouldn’t get off their scooter.  Unfortunately Miki didn’t have one and was not spayed yet so Miki was left at the clinic and underwent examination and surgery.  She is in good health.

Miki loves meeting new people and making doggy friends.  We are hoping to find Miki a loving forever home which she will be with her new mom and dad most of the time because she just loves being around people so much.  So, if you work from home or can take her to work that would be wonderful.

Miki was a stray and didn’t know when and where her next meal would be so she tends to protect of her food but if you can feed Miki and other dogs separately, that would be fine.  We are correcting her behaviour and she has shown improvements.

Miki is a cheerful and outgoing furry companion.  If you look at her pictures closely, she seems be smiling at almost every one of them.  Hopefully her smile will capture your heart and a forever place in your home.

Miki is spayed, has up to date vaccinations including rabies shot, micro-chipped, de-wormed, tested negative for heartworm, multiple tick born pathogens. Miki has also passed Idexx 4-in-1 kit Test.

If you are interested in adopting Miki please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Miki is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Miki, for your new addition. There is a $450 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
