Rescue Story

Kino is highly food driven and will steal at any chance he gets. He was once caught on video taking the bait of a leftover meal in container on the kitchen table. As part hound, he also has prey drive with poor recall however he walks well on leash and enjoys strolls around the neighbourhood with great people and dog etiquette. Occasionally he gets so excited he may knock an unexpected individual over therefore a home without kids is required for safety. Kino is calm and cuddly at home. He remembers those who are kind to him and loves his humans with unwavering loyalty even though he’s left behind when they move on with their lives. Kino is looking for a committed experienced home who can cherish him until his golden years.

Kino is neutered, up to date with routine shots, micro-chipped, de-wormed and tested negative for heartworm. Kino torn his ACL while chasing a squirrel over a log in an off leash hike. Although he has fully recovered from Cruciate Ligament and Meniscus Tear surgery, intense exercise such as mount climbing, jogging, running along a bike are prohibited to prevent from re-injury. Glucosamine supplements and a high quality diet are necessary to provide proper joint support.

Please consider Kino, for your new addition. There is a $200 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
