Playful, curious and loyal.
Smart having learned several tricks.
He can be good with children under adult supervision, when my mom's 5-year-old great grandson was over every weekend Jazz would love to play chase me, however I'm not sure if he could be considered a play thing for kids. He could be protective have seen him snap at a strange child approaching towards my mom, was a shock didn't think he had that in him. So caution around unfamiliar situations.
He doesn't have much stamina as my mom wasn't that active with them. He can be quiet and hang around the house all day but I think he would do well with walks and would build stamina.
Good with other dogs and cats. Recently on a walk we came upon another dog, he approached cautiously, the other snapped and Jazz walked away with kinda hurt feelings.
Nervous outside of his normal environment (groomer etc.)

Rescue Story

This has been a very trying time for our family. With our Mom’s passing, she left behind; two lovely dogs; Jazz, a 12 year old Maltese and Gracie, a 10 year old Yorkie cross.

We are seeking a home that they can once again call their own for the rest of their lives. Ideally they will be adopted together. We will consider individual applications though.

Medical Record:

Recent veterinary check with bloodwork indicates he is in good health. He has thinning hair for a few hears now so we are monitoring his Thyroid. He just had his teeth cleaned but may need more work which we will take care of.

If you are interested in adopting Jazz please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Jazz, for your new addition. There is a N/A adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
