Cautious at first but friendly, calm, medium energy level, gets along with adult mature dogs not overtly excited puppies, housetrained (likes to mark in a new territory though), leash trained

Rescue Story

Gobi, a four-year-old stray, was rescued from Taiwan and adopted out to Canada.  His previous owner due to family issues could no longer provide stable care for him so Gobi is once again looking for a permanent home.  Gobi needs strong firm leadership and an hour of daily exercise from his human in return he’s an obedient loyal furry companion.  He’s possessive with food around dogs so separate feeding is mandatory if another dog is present in the household.  He loves treats, affectionate belly rubs, and walks with his human.  Once he bonds with his human, he can go off leash with excellent recall.  Gobi prefers a home without young children as he’s less tolerant with teasing and rough playing.  Gobi is more amiable toward women, but with all strangers, proper and slow introduction is a must especially in his own environment.

If you are interested in adopting Gobi please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Gobi, for your new addition. There is a $200 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
