Rescue Story

Cocoa Beans looks like a stuffed teddy bear wearing a white bow tie (the patch of fur on his front chest). He broke both of his front legs when he was first rescued in Taiwan as a stray. He has recovered completely. Even though Cocoa Beans has a funny looking front right leg (bone sticking out at an angle), he is in no pain and has no problem being active. He loves to be around people and when transferring to a new environment he may be a little anxious. He has mild separation anxiety so applicants with apartment residence or condo are not suitable. Cocoa Beans may bother the neighbours even though the whining would stop after a few minutes before he settles down on his own. He’s also vocal about his excitement. Cocoa Beans is looking for a home where someone is around most of the time, a family who allows him on the couch and the bed, and has a fenced yard for him to run around in.

If you are interested in adopting Cocoa Beans please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Cocoa Beans, for your new addition. There is a $400 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
