Rescue Story

Aya was a stray puppy in a rural coast area prior to being rescued. She’s cautious around new people and needs time and space to warm up but offering her treats would make the experience more positive. Once she’s familiar with a new person, she’s very comfortable and friendly. Aya is looking for a shy-dog experienced home without kids to provide further socialization with people and dogs.

Prior to adoption and flying to Canada, further medical examination will be conducted and any necessary treatment provided. If you are committed to adopting the dog, you are responsible for any health changes that the dog may or may not have in the future after adoption.

If you are interested in adopting Aya please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Aya is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Aya, for your new addition. There is a $450 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
