Rescue Story

Annie was a stray puppy wandering among busy traffic on the streets in Taiwan: http://www.savedogs.org/forum/article_view.html?f_no=28061&page=3

 

Our rescuer was on her way to an animal hospital with two foster dogs and a baby in the car when she spotted Annie.  She called another volunteer to come and help out.  As soon as the volunteer poured a can of dog food on the cement ground Annie gobbled it all up.  We don’t know how long she had been starving.  She wasn’t even an adult and her forefeet curled up due to malnutrition and lack of calcium.  Her rear feet have white hair.  She was tormented by plump ticks.  Our rescuer decided to take Annie in and give her a chance to live a happy life.  She can be at home by herself: housetrained, no chewing issue, and quiet.  She’s not protective of food from dogs and people.  Annie has huge bat-like ears and loves going out for walks.  She hopes to find a family with an active lifestyle.

Annie is spayed (Dec-27-2011), up to date with routine shots, micro-chipped, de-wormed (10th of every month), and tested negative for heartworm.

If you are interested in adopting Annie please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Annie is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Annie, for your new addition. There is a $350 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
