A little shy at first but friendly, affectionate, loyal, low to medium energy, housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, doesn’t play with dogs but gets along with dogs, cats, and kids

Rescue Story

A puppy mill abandoned 42 dogs to a killing shelter in Taiwan in April 2012. Toffee was 1 of the 8 dogs our volunteer rescued.

She was debarked at the puppy mill. You can hear her barking just not as loud. When she’s nervous or excited she would twirl in circles while barking. But she’s not a hyper energy dog and she calms down quickly Toffee would bark to guard the house and her human if she feels the need to protect them so apartments are not suitable.

She’s house trained but when transferring to a new environment she’ll take about a week to be house broken. She doesn’t have any chewing issues and can stay home alone. Toffee is attached to her human once she bonds with you just like her name.

If you are interested in adopting Toffee please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Toffee, for your new addition. There is a $250 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
