Rescue Story

Rachel is an absolute sweetheart bursting of joy and energy!  She often tries to get people’s attention by using her loud high pitch bark to get picked up.  Sometimes she will jump right into your arms for you to hold her.  She also likes give kisses to everyone even strangers she just met.  If one is not careful when one opens the door, she would take off therefore for her safety she’s not suitable for families with children or yards that aren't fully enclosed.  She was a wandering stray found in an elementary school begging for food.  She would growl at other dogs if they get too close to her food bowl and toys so separate feeding and supervision are recommended.  Rachel is looking for a moderately active home with another easy-going resident dog as she prefers to have a canine companion when no one is home.

Please note Rachel is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Rachel, for your new addition. There is a $400 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
