Rescue Story

Polly was a stray begging for food on the streets in Taiwan.  She has a medium energy level and would require moderate amount of exercise to manage her weight properly with less stress on her joints.  She knows basic commands like sit and come so likely was someone’s pet once before been abandoned.  Polly can stay home alone without people or dogs.  She can be protective of food from dogs so separate feeding is necessary if another dog is present in the household.  She likes to play fetch, walks well on leash, and has good recall.  Polly is well-behaved and easy going.

If you are interested in adopting Polly please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Polly is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Polly, for your new addition. There is a $300 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
