Rescue Story

Besides the big ears, Mickey just like his name is a sweet boy. He can be a little shy with new people when they try to pick him up but warms up quickly through treats/food and is affectionate once becomes familiar. He loves to cuddle, give kisses, and follow his humans around hard to believe as a three-month old puppy he came from a killing pound. He has a medium energy level and would play with toys on his own. Mickey is looking for a experienced family with a fenced yard who can help him with housetraining, provide plenty of chew toys as well as proper exercise, and take him to obedience school for further socialization with people and dogs. He’s not suitable to go a home with children as he has the mouthing behaviour and not a household with feline members as he’s too curious and would chase.

If you are interested in adopting Mickey please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Mickey, for your new addition. There is a $450 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
