Rescue Story

We suspect that Holly may be a part of the TNR (Trap Neuter Release) initiatives for stray dogs in Taiwan since she has abdominal scars possibly from the spay surgery.  One day she just showed up at a pet grooming shop by herself perhaps looking for food.  She’s friendly with people and wasn’t severely malnourished.  Her rescuer couldn’t bear to shoo her away and has been fostering her for four months since her arrival.  Holly has an easy-going temperament and likes to be in the company of people.  When the store employees go home at night Holly seems especially lonely and is excited when they return to work in the morning.  Holly is looking for a moderately active family as she greatly enjoys going out for walks.  She would also benefit from basic obedience training to continue socialization with people and dogs.

If you are interested in adopting Holly please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Holly is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Holly, for your new addition. There is a $400 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
