Rescue Story

Bailey was rescued from a killing shelter in Taiwan last summer. His previous owner left him along with two other dogs in an empty apartment to die when the owner moved. Without any compassion, the landlord disposed the three dogs at the city pound. When our volunteer heard their story she rescued them and made sure they are in good health. The other two dogs were adopted together. Bailey was upset when he had to part with them at YVR since they grew up together. His eyes always look kind of sad as if he's afraid of being left behind again. He has been with three foster families since arriving in Vancouver. The only issue he has is housetraining. When he is in a new environment he will mark territory as he is nervous with the unfamiliar surrounding. At his current foster place, he knows that he has to do his business in the backyard but he doesn't like going out for walks because he feels insecured and fearful of being abandoned. He loves to cuddle with his human on the bed at night as well as huddle with other dogs on the sofa. Bailey hopes to never feel lonely again and be accepted into a warm welcoming home/pack.

If you are interested in adopting Bailey please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Bailey, for your new addition. There is a $350 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
